Resistance Box

A Resistance Box is an instrument which contains resistors of different values in a box/case for estimating and comparing the resistance.

  • It measures resistance in Ohms (Ω).
  • The box is constructed with the pegs in parallel with precision wound resistance coils.
  • With the peg in place the current flows through the peg (approx. 0 ohms).
  • When removed the current flows through the resistor.
  • The main application of the resistance box is to control the specific value of current to flow through the circuit.
