Beaker

Beaker is a cylindrical container laboratory equipment with a flat bottom.

  • Have a small spout or beak to help pouring.
  • Beakers are available in a wide range of sizes, from one milliliter up to several liters.
  • Beakers are commonly made of glass, but can also be metal or certain plastic.
  • Beaker's main function is stirring, mixing and heating liquids. Also useful as a reaction container or to hold liquid or solid samples.
  • They are also sometimes used to measure the volume of a solid indirectly by measuring the displacement of a liquid.
