Carbon Resistor is a passive electronic component that slows down flow of current through which depends on the value of its resistance.
- Carbon resistors are made from solid cylindrical resistive element with embedded wire leads or metal end caps.
- Resistive element are made from both solid carbon (graphite) and clay additive to help with durability.
- The resistance value and tolerance can be determined from the standard resistor color code.
