Briefly describe strength and concetration of an electrolyte.


  • Soln:


    The strength of an electrolyte is the degree to which it dissociates in water.
    The strength of an electrolyte must never be confused with its concentration.

    The concertation of an electrolyte is the amount of the electrolyte per liter of solution.
    Two electrolytes can have similar strengths but different concentrations; and the same concentration but different strengths.
